At Kirklandpark we aim to provide challenging and enjoyable learning experiences, promoting respect, responsibility and self-worth, in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.
We are a non denominational school, committed to meeting the needs of every pupil and working in partnership with our parents to achieve this. Staff and children are very proud of our school and we hope you enjoy our website.

Kirklandpark School is situated in parklands in the market town of Strathaven. Strathaven is served by three primary schools, Kirklandpark, Wester Overton and St Patricks; Strathaven Academy is the High School.
We have a large amenity ground adjacent to the school which we use for outdoor learning, sports and games. We moved into our new school building in June 2016 The design is semi-open plan and it is also open in the sense that parents and members of the community are welcome to visit at any time.
Kirklandpark School at present has eleven mainstream classes and a nursery. It is progressive in outlook and open minded in so far as up to date educational thinking and practice are concerned, yet retains an emphasis on the solid grounding that is the hallmark of Scottish Education.
Our school motto was designed by pupil Cara McClean and embraces the ethos of Kirklandpark School - Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.
Our new school tie was designed by pupil Logan Pollock.
